Can you describe your overall experience with the BA course at Stride Academy?
My experience with the BA course at Stride Academy was amazing. The program was challenging but very rewarding. The mentorship was great, and I learned so much about communication, organization, and building confidence in myself. It introduced the technical aspects of becoming a BA in a very easy to understand approach.
What were the most valuable aspects of the program for you?
There are many valuable aspects of this program. The mentorship I received was incredible, it not only helped me acquire technical skills but also guided me in building confidence and becoming a better version of myself. Polishing my communication and organizational skills was another standout benefit, as these are vital in any professional setting. I also met a bunch of amazing people that I now call friends and hope to remain connected as we all phase out of this program. Finally, the holistic approach of the program opened a whole new career avenue for me, setting me up for journey I’ll always be grateful for and hopefully thrive in.
What was the biggest challenge you faced during the course, and how did you overcome it?
The biggest challenge for me was learning to speak up in class, present in front of new people, and truly believe in my ability to be a capable self-starter. Initially, it was intimidating to share my thoughts and ideas in a group setting on a subject I was initially clueless about, but the supportive environment played a huge role in helping me overcome this.
In what ways did the support from instructors, mentors, or the Stride Academy team enhance your learning experience?
The support from the Stride Academy team was exceptional. It significantly enhanced my learning experience. Hassan’s approach was truly transformative, he didn’t just teach technical skills but focused on setting the right mindset before advancing to the next phase. His mentorship evolved with each step of the program, instilling confidence in me and teaching me to stop second-guessing myself and take initiative which I’m still working on.
Additionally, Mahnoor, played an integral role in my journey. Her guidance, rooted in both a teacher and student perspective, was always spot-on and incredibly effective. She was always available to provide support, ensuring I stayed on track and fully understood the material. Their combined efforts created an environment where I felt encouraged and supported.
What was your experience with the career services offered by Stride Academy, such as resume building and interview preparation?
The career services at Stride were incredibly thorough and effective. The resume-building process was smooth, with multiple drafts being reviewed until we reached the final polished version. What truly led to its composition were two key assignments that we were required to complete before starting the resume-building process. While they were frustrating and time-consuming at first, they turned out to be the foundation for crafting a solid, resume. These assignments helped me acknowledge the skills I had gained in a way that aligned perfectly with industry expectations which is something I was totally overlooking.
How long did it take you to find a job after completing the program with Stride?
Three weeks!
Would you recommend the BA course at Stride Academy to others? Why?
I would recommend this program because it provides a perfect balance of technical training, personal development, and career support. It helps you grow both professionally and personally. The course not only equips you with the skills you need for the role but also builds your confidence to succeed in the job market. The support system, including resume building and interview preparation, is thorough and effective. It’s a challenging program, but the results are absolutely worth it.
